What could a Soldiers/sailors notation mean in a court filing from a mortgage company?

My husband and I are trying to buy a home, but the closing has been pushed back several times due to problems on the sellers end. I have looked up the sellers on our state’s online court system to see if they had financial issues that would cause a possible foreclosure on the home. In June I did notice a Lis Pendens was filed, but that has since been removed. Last week I noticed something was filed but I am not sure what it is. The online filing screen indicates: Other affidavit, comments: soldiers/sailors; confidential information forms; petition filed, comments: Ons to atty/lcso Any insight to what this might mean?

Help. How to handle all these problems?

Hi everyone, I am a 3rd year medical student facing a lot of issues. The other day, I found out my father was having an affair with another woman and totally ignoring his wife and kids. I confronted him and the other woman and we are not speaking. He borrowed money from me to pay his bills and ended up taking this woman to a beach and spending the money on her while I’m down here passing out on patients from the lack of food.

I’m taking an online class as well to help pay for medical school with the extra loan money, and it’s tiresome especially since I’m in my surgery rotation. By the time I get home, I’m too EXHAUSTED to do anything but sleep. I weigh only 95 pounds from the lack of eating. Plus, it seems like everyone at work gives me all the surgeries to assist simply because I’m a nice person.

Gosh, I feel like giving up…I honestly don’t feel like going on anymore. I have no family, friends, or a significant other to turn to, hence my posting on yahoo answers. I’m tired of crying all the time despite praying and trying so hard to succeed. How can I go about handling these issues? I’m on the verge of a breakdown….please no rude answers.

How many 18 year olds out there are financing for a car?

ktjahjadi asked:

I am 18 years old, live with my parents, and I want to get a car loan ranging from $15,000 - $20,000. I have had a lot of bashing from this from the online community, including yahoo itself about how I am stupid for jumping into a financial loan like that.

My dad will cosign for me, but made it clear that I have to make every payment, help him with car insurance, and pay for all my gas and car maintenance fees, and most of all not to ruin his credit.

My dad has excellent credit, and I really do believe I can do this. I make around $2,000 a month, still live at home, no financial responsibilities at all, no bills, no nothing.

I feel like I am financially stable to afford monthly car payments of around $300-$400 a month, that is what I am expecting to pay for my car.

Any other 18 year olds out there financing for a $15,000+ car? Or am I the only too-ambitious one out there?

And yes… I am going to school. So don’t say save your money for your education because thats already been paid for by FAFSA.

My boyfriend and I are planning on buying a condo together. He wants to get a VA loan but it would only cover him because we are not married. They do not allow unmarried couples to get the loan together. Does anyone know if it’s true that for a VA loan they only approve you for a certain dollar amount like $150,000? If so, could he apply for $150,000 from VA office and me apply for $150,000 from a regular bank? Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

I need to buy GAP insurance because I’m refinancing. Where can I get it?

I am refinancing my vehicle and bought a GAP policy from the dealer. Now I want to refinance at a much lower interest rate and the credit union I am refinancing through doesn’t offer GAP insurance. I called the previous dealer and the policy does not transfer. Where can I purchase GAP insurance for my new loan? I don’t want to buy it online from that one site…Drivers Select. Too fishy for me. P.S.- my insurance company doesn’t offer it as an extra to their policy either.

online cash advances?

Posted by admin | Personal Finance | Friday 17 April 2009 11:16 pm
Reina asked:

I posted a question earlier with regards to the cash advances that I currently have out and I just can’t keep up with the fees anymore. Yes, I know I shouldn’t have done it but right now it’s just me and my mom and she is pretty ill so I have a lot riding on my shoulders. She is in the process of getting her SSI approved but for now and at the time I needed help paying some of her bills and took out cash advances and now I am having trouble making ends meet because of all the fees since I have to refinance them because I can’t afford to pay the total amount due. It seems some people have been telling me to close out my checking account (so they can’t withdrawl anymore) and contact these cash advance places ASAP and make some repayment arrangements with them but I’m wondering if I’ll get in more trouble with closing out my checking account? Has anyone had this problem before? What do you suggest? Can’t I call them and tell them not to take these fees out of my checking account because I have no money in the account?…would that be better than to close the account? Also, some friends have suggested filing bankruptcy but please know that I don’t owe much other than these stupid cash advances and if I can just get over this hump I will be fine. My plan is that if these places will give me some time I can repay them back with a second job and when I get my taxes I can repay them and this nightmare will be over. And no….asking for family to help is not an option…I don’t have any family but my mother and my friends are not able to help me out. I learned my lesson so please no rude comments.
