I’m trying to get a credit card or personal loan. American Express and Chase both refused to give me credit cards with no annual fee.

I’m going to ask my bank to give me a loan or credit card. I have a good payment history with them, and I’m close to paying off my car loan.

If they deny me, my only other option will be to get a card for people with no credit or bad credit. I need to get my car tagged and pay taxes on it (It’s a newly purchased car.)

I found a couple of cards that guarantee approval. But they have annual fees, account set-up fees, and annual monthly service fees…If I get one of those cards through a major company, like Mastercard, would I be able to eventually transfer the balance or account to a different card without annual fees?

We have signed some papers, BUT HAVE NOT CLOSED! The lending agent told me that Fannie Mae could sue us because I signed a binding contract. We have been told over and over that we can back out up to an hour before closing. As far as I am aware of we haven’t signed anything that said we could not back out of our loan. I am a college sophomore attending a state school but even so I have already accumulated thousands in student loan debt. I worked 60+ hours a week last summer and that money won’t even last to cover half this year’s rent and utilities! I am trying to cut back spending but really all I buy are groceries and the occasional movie ticket. I don’t even have any transportation costs because the bus is free for students.

I have been unable to find part-time work that fits around my schedule because I need to take a lot of credits or I’m not going to graduate in time which would mean taking out even more loans. I applied for every scholarship I could get a hold of but didn’t get a penny, and my financial aid is absolutely pathetic because my family is in that awful limbo where their tax returns show too much income to get decent aid but too little to actually contribute anything. I am 19 years old, and I am scared out of my mind that I am digging a hole I’m never going to get out of.
