Irene M, I think you’ll have a hard time, bad credit hurt many people in so many ways.

If you have a checking account see if your bank will set you up with a line of credit. I have Wells Fargo, and you can get it squared away online really fast. But whatever bank you use, see if they’ll allow you to set one up. You can do it for a low amount, transfer it to your checking account, then pay for your car. The rates are better than a credit card, and about a zillion times better than the checks cashed places. Call your bank, and inquire about a personal line of credit.

With poor credit, forget it. Companies who lend money expect to get it back - sorry, but you don’t have a good track record for that.

About your only chance is family or friends.

The trouble is, if you don’t have 500 now you will never get out from under a high interest payday loan and won’t have money for the next car payment. Beg a friend, or several friends ! Go to you employer and explain that you need the car in order to get to work. Ask if they will advance you the money and take 50 dollars from each paycheck to pay it back. Good Luck to you, but stay away from payday loans. They are just loan sharks with a store front !!!

Check into cash, or something like that. your credit can’t be that bad with $4000 in debt. MY credit is bad. I have $72000 in debt, so don’t sweat it, if you explain your situation I’m sure you’ll get your money.
