A woman hit my card a couple weeks ago and I reported to her insurance company. Whenever I called her insurance to ask the status of my claim they keep telling me that they are waiting to her back from the insured and it is possible that they can deny my claim if the insured doesn’t respond. How does that make sense when they have a copy of the police report stating that the lady hit my parked car. This is clearly wrong. What do I need to do to get my car fix.

I was recently in an an accident where the other party claimed fault. My car was totaled, and I have been in touch with the other party’s insurance. They sent me an appraisal which was low, and doesn’t seem to have included the following:
- Lo-jack
- Extended warranty on the vehicle
- Trim of the car

Also, the zip code on the appraisal was wrong (maybe intentionally so) When I check on Edmunds or KBB, the private party value is at least 3K higher.

I am going to talk again with the insurance company, but any tips on how to proceed with this? I cannot go to an appraiser it seems since I do not have comprehensive insurance. I am based in California. Thanks

Now hes settled again and put back together.
He have already negotiated all other debt. He hasn’t called his auto finance company yet. I was wondering if they would reset his loan or if he could offer a lower pay off. He owe about 19k would they settle for like 6k or something. Any ideas? Please no negativity just helpful solutions.
